Colleagues,
MVP: We all have moments we need support, and we all have moments we can be the support Hey all! Mara here. I’m stepping in for Frederick this week while he is atop the mountains of NC backpacking. A year ago, I had moved to Steamboat Springs, CO for the winter, intending to work a bit and learn to snowboard. I was going down the easiest run on the entire mountain at about 5mph. After every fall, I would be cheered on by other skiers passing by. At times I would get frustrated that I was that person: the person that was being cheered on by the people flying by me while I was stuck, feeling defeated by the cold snow beneath me. A year later, I am that cheerleader. I am the skier cheering on those who are learning. I see someone getting frustrated or taking a fall and I shout out a “YOU GOT THIS!!!” as I fly by. Intention: Think about where you were a year ago. How have you grown? How have you impacted others? Can you find someone that may be in the same position you were in a year ago, and be their cheerleader? If you reflected today and realized you haven’t grown in the way you want to, and you need some support, please think about joining our first cohort of “The Journey.” We all need a safe place to grow and learn, and our community can be that place for you! Click here to learn more. Sending Sunshine, Mara
