Lowering someone else's E

Colleagues,

All week we’ve looked at strategies to decrease the E of essential leadership tasks:

1. Delegate all
2. Delegate part
3. Create an MVP
4. Develop processes
5. Get better
6. Make the task obsolete
7. Replace the task with something easier

 
I hope you have been thinking about how to apply these to your own leadership. If not, why not? Too busy doing things that take a lot of effort? Hmmmm….
 
It’s Friday, so reflect on this:

1. Where are the biggest “motivation” problems in your organization?
2. Can you improve your understanding of the E for the people with low M? Remember, the degree of E varies widely based on people’s skills and experiences.
3. Can you apply any of the above strategies to help lower E? Maybe you can get ideas from the stakeholders themselves on how to apply one or more of the strategies. That would allow people to invest in solving their own problems!
