Looking for a new job?

Or maybe you are looking to hire someone?

Either way, here are three things I think need to come out in an interview. Note – I am writing these from the interviewee’s perspective:

1. Don’t hide who you are! Make clear what you are willing to go to the wall for, what your core values are. If you change who you are to get the job you can never go back.
2. Talk about what you have done, not what you would do. Show how your past experiences and actions “prove” that you can transfer experience and skills into the new position.
3. Tell the story that explains who you are and why you are that way. If you can’t tell a story, then you are just one of many resumes.

Again, just my opinion based on successes and mistakes made as a member of a long list of hiring.
