Help, I've been mugged!

MVP: We cannot predict the impact we have on others.

I’ve written about my mug before. My college roommate made it for his girlfriend in 1986. How it came to be in my hands is another story 🥺 but I have been drinking from this mug nearly every day since it came into my possession almost four decades ago.

Previously I described how aware I am that some day this precious object will break, and that my awareness inspires me to appreciate it all the more – while it is still here. It also keeps me present as I am very intentional when I use, move, or clean it.

But here is today’s lesson…

When Roger gave that mug to me, he had no idea that he would be improving the quality of life every day for four decades.

Leadership is a lot like giving someone a mug. We cannot predict how our actions can have lasting effects on people. Maybe even life-changing.

Today’s intention: Today, give away as many mugs as you can!
