Leaders are always talking about change, but why?
 
Why do we need to change?

Change is not always the appropriate response, but the nature of organizations is that they get out of alignment. Structures get added, the mission becomes less clear, resources get funneled, and changing needs test the skills and knowledge of the people.
 
Almost every organization faces misalignment, and many organizations experience significant alignment issues.
 
When a leader is “too busy” to invest time helping someone grow, that’s an alignment problem!
 
In fact, the purpose of leadership is to use the change process to bring about better organizational alignment.

​Today’s intention: Ever find yourself saying, “This needs to change!”? Whatever “this” is, look at it through an alignment lens.
