Big shoutout to Sheri Stonehouse, the assistant principal at Sandhills Middle School in Gaston South Carolina:
Just wanted to brighten your day...by letting you know that I shared the link to the Assistant Principal Podcast with my four AA's and a teacher who has just began his Master's in Administration.
Thank you so much for your dedication in helping us become better leaders every day!
Thank you, Sheri!
I’ve been working on the website and ran into some issues. After too many failures I contacted tech support via chat. It took about 30 minutes to fix the problem. Most of the time I was just waiting for the tech person to do something.
During those 30 minutes I tried to take care of some other things, but I had to keep checking the chat box to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
It was so hard to focus and to keep going back and forth. Not only was I incredibly unproductive, but I was exhausted by the time we finished.
The price of trying to multi-task is not just the inefficiency during the time you are multitasking, it is also the fatigue that can affect you for hours afterwards.
Ironically, the only thing I really was able to complete was this email and that is because writing the email and experiencing the event were so congruent.
