Title: Awareness of YOU!
 
MVP: Positionality – the identifying ways whereby a person perceives their given ‘reality’ based on how they view it.  We all have one, so get in touch with yours. 
 
Yesterday I shared there are different perspectives involved in any situation, and YOURS is essential to understand.  It is difficult to admit to our own role in a situation gone wrong. But it is essential. Unfortunately, it is not always apparent as you are trudging in the mire.
 
I am a rural girl, born and bred. Actually, I was a ‘walker’, meaning my friends on farms got to ride the bus while I walked to school from my town home. However, I spent many days on farms, loving the farm animals in their pens, witnessing the miracle of babies born, petting and loving the individual presence of each being. 
 
I feel comfortable with (domesticated) beings bigger than me. 
 
My life partner, however, is from a beautiful BIG city and he has had amazing experiences in his lifetime that I will never have. 
 
We come from divergent backgrounds and bring different views to the experiences we share together.
 
Today’s intention: Take a few minutes to think about a situation you are grappling with right now. Be honest with yourself. What is your positionality on that situation?
