MVP: Don’t waste your time
Mara here! I hope you enjoyed the last few weeks of messages about the most important things Frederick has learned from other people!
A few weeks ago, I went to a cycling class at the YMCA and the instructor said some thought-provoking and encouraging remarks throughout the class.
We were about halfway through the 1 hour class and she said “Don’t waste your time!” She continued talking about how we had already gotten up that morning and made it to the 7am class, so don’t waste our own time by not working as hard as we could and getting the most out of our time.
I was encouraged by this, as it was something that I had never heard before. I think there are probably exceptions to this, but I really loved the idea of not wasting my own time. I don’t deserve to have my time wasted, and neither do you. You woke up today, you committed to something, so don’t waste your time! Do it as best as you can in the moment, so you can look back and know you did what you could with the time and energy you had.
Today’s Intention: Think about your tasks or big events for the week and decide how you want to show up for yourself. Are you going to do the best you can with the time and energy you have?
