You won’t believe what the other coach said

Colleagues,

MVP: These simple choices require lots of effort to execute every day – until they don’t.

Still celebrating that my Ohio State Buckeyes are the 2024 national champions, but today’s message was inspired by a quote from Marcus Freeman, the Notre Dame head coach whose team faced OSU in the final game.

A friend shared Marcus Freeman's quote before the game when he was asked about matching his opponents’ physicality.  "You don't have to change what you do, if it's who you are."  

This quote captures something essential.

• You choose how you show up for others.
• You choose to be fully present.
• You choose to ask questions.
• You choose to listen.

These simple choices require lots of effort to execute every day – until they don’t.

Consistently make good choices, and those choices become a part of who you are and how you travel through this world.
