Colleagues,
MVP: Set an intention for the fall: invest a few minutes each day in growing yourself! Yesterday I asked what you are doing to help grow others. Can you predict today’s questions?
The rest of this message is a recap of yesterday’s because growing others begins with growing yourself. If you already invest a few minutes each day asking people powerful reflective questions… If you already confront chaos with the question, “why?”... If you already plan your day around your priorities… Then you are a strategic leader. Leadership is not easy, but it is rewarding. Every day you can go home, identifying one incremental piece of progress. But if you don’t ask reflective questions, don’t ask “why” and don’t prioritize, then you are an urgent leader. Moving from urgent to strategic is hard, but it is also simple. The techniques, strategies, and tools are simple. Today’s intention: If you are currently too busy putting out fires to grow your people, consider investing $20.77 in my book (Amazon link here). I wrote it for you. Cheers! Frederick
