Colleagues,
MVP: Immediate progress might be more important than the biggest problem. This week I’ve referenced how juggling multiple projects and scope creep makes a mess of things. At any given time, multiple parts of our organization are out of alignment. Oftentimes, these are important elements. Let’s imagine all three of these are happening at the same time:
All of these are critical, but you cannot address all three at the same time. One of the most challenging parts of leadership is letting go of working on critical needs. But, by focusing on a single need, we can make progress. The alternative is having many unfinished projects. Today’s intention: List out all the challenges/issues/needs your organization has. If you can only pick one to work on, which one would have the biggest impact for the least investment? Cheers! Frederick
