We need to take time to reevaluate what we are doing

​I asked for suggestions for email topics a couple weeks ago and my long-time (40 years 🥺) friend Nat Ellis stepped up! Nat and I collaborated, his writing is in blue and mine in black.

Who makes the mix
As an AP you are asked to evaluate teachers, monitor state compliance, evaluate curriculum, and a long list of many other duties.  But how often do we reevaluate what classes and programs our school will offer?

Two big ideas pop out:

1. We are really good at adding programs, but how often do we shed them?
2. We often add said programs to treat symptoms, as opposed to addressing root problems.

In a week or two I’ll be doing a podcast episode on a simple tool for examining things we should (most importantly) STOP doing, as well as what we should continue, consider, and (maybe) start doing.
