I signed up for a Hilton marketing package which was going to get me three free nights that just so happened to correspond with my appearance at ISTE/ASCD in Orlando (let me know if you’ll be there!).

However, the package requires booking thirty days in advance and I did not get to it until 27 days before the event.

I was livid - at myself. I threw a little temper tantrum and then a pity party.

Then I called Hilton and they took care of me - no problem.

I wasted so much energy and emotion, instead of stepping back and thinking about options.
