Colleagues,
MVP: We all face barriers that can make it difficult to be intentional Yesterday I wrote about not being intentional in choosing how I would show up with others, but I didn’t tell the whole story. While at the Helene relief site, I was able to have the critical conversations with Lance and some of the other leaders that had been foremost in my mind. I then found some quiet space to focus on me and my business. Since September 27, my world has been in a frenzy trying to navigate the aftermath of Helene and the physical and emotional toll it has taken on our communities and so many of my friends and family. By October 6 (I’m writing this on the 7th), I had lost touch with my business, with what events were upcoming, what content I was supposed to be working on, and who I needed to be having conversations with. I invested about 30-minutes, catching up with what the next five weeks looked like. I felt grounded, but also overwhelmed at the amount of travel that was coming and how ill-prepared I felt. From this point on, I became more aware of my feelings and of the level of my energy reserves. As a result, I became more intentional in deciding how I would show up for people. Today’s intention: What barriers might stop you from being intentional in choosing how you will show up? Cheers! Frederick
