Colleagues,
I wrote Friday about my decision to make a simple table for my office that nobody will see and won’t be used for more than a few months. The danger for me in a project like this is that I like to add things. I could nail four legs, a brace, and a plywood top together to make a functional table. But wouldn’t it be cool to include a small shelf on one side? And maybe edge the top so things won’t roll off. Or add a shelf on top of the table to put a second computer monitor. I’m pretty good at beginning with an MVP (minimally viable product) but I struggle with scope creep. Knowing your weaknesses, you can build in some accountability. In this case, I’d like some of you to be my accountability partner. Please reply to this email and ask me to share a photo of my table. This holds me accountable in two ways:
Cheers! Frederick
