Colleagues, MVP: Take time to appreciate special things, no matter how small. The trillium is the iconic flower here in Western North Carolina (WNC). They begin popping out in April and are gone by June. They like the shaded areas inside the forest so you have to get out on the trail to see them. They are a small thing, and in many ways are inconsequential to the lives we lead. Except they aren’t inconsequential. Because beauty is not inconsequential. Recognizing beauty, be it a moment, an experience, a vista, a friend, or a flower…recognizing beauty uplifts our spirit.
Invest some moments this week looking for the beauty around you. It is there if you can pause long enough to see it. Are you a middle school leader in North Carolina?
The price includes two virtual conferences, winter f-t-f conference, NCMLE’s amazing annual conference in March, and extra stuff from Darrin and I – all for under $2k! Feel free to email me with questions. Cheers! Frederick
