Colleagues, In yesterday’s episode of The Assistant Principal Podcast, I shared my 11 daily affirmations. These affirmations have changed over time and they are a combination of important statements related to both my personal and professional life. I first began writing them on Oct. 31, 2025. I was inspired by Tony Robbins talking about his seven morning affirmations in these videos: Speak 7 Lines to Yourself Every Morning and 7 Morning Affirmations. I tweaked Robbins’ affirmations to suit my personality and reality. In January, 2026 I updated the affirmations based on my goals and some life changes for 2026 and I reworked them several times early in the year. I’ve mentioned this year being emotionally challenging, and throughout March, as I tried to make sense of things that have no satisfying explanation, I made additional changes to my affirmations. So, my affirmations are not etched in stone. They are consistent – I write them every morning – but they also change over time according to my needs. I hope I have made you incredibly curious and that you’ll listen to this episode. Investing time in these affirmations has kept me on my feet during the worst days, and helped propel me forward on the average days. PLEASE listen, and PLEASE share! I’m happy to acknowledge Kaleidoscope Adventures as a sponsor of yesterday’s episode of The Assistant Principal Podcast!
