Seen, valued, heard

MVP: When we communicate to people we see, value, and hear them, they feel more meaningful. 

There is an ethical weight which comes with leadership. Heavier than the ethical obligation to follow the law is our obligation to care for those over whom we hold power.

We could even argue that caring is the core function of leadership.

People are our purpose, and when we see people (and know their stories), when we value them, and listen, we are affirming they matter. 

Mattering is such an essential element of caring.
