Colleagues, MVP: It is possible to be a leader who invests time each day in growing others. I released A School Leader’s Guide to Reclaiming Purpose in March and have had fun hearing from readers and planning hosted book studies for a couple organizations. One of the things I keep hearing is that the book is not just for school leaders - there are lessons and tools for all leaders here! But how many good books do I have on my desk which I have yet to read? Too many. I thought it would be a good idea to create some nudges to gently remind people about the guide that might be sitting on their desk. I’ll be sharing these here, one a month, but you can also click this link to subscribe to our book study email list. You’ll receive ONE EMAIL A MONTH for six months (one per stage), and then maybe one a month just sharing a lesson - haven’t decided on that yet. Here is my highlight for the introduction: I hope you have had a few minutes to at least scan the introduction of A School Leader’s Guide to Reclaiming Purpose. It’s only six brief pages, but I love being able to share the story of Mr. Jacks. His clarity of purpose has continued to inspire me. So, yes, being a leader who invests time each day in growing others is possible! If you are already well into the book or want some sneak previews before you buy it, I review all six stages in today’s episode of The Assistant Principal Podcast. Final word: There are several hundred people on this email list. If you enjoy these daily lessons and would like to show your support, consider purchasing my book on Amazon here. Currently priced at $20.77 😃 Thanks again to IXL for sponsoring today’s episode. Cheers!
Frederick
