Is an “okay” pod episode better than no episode?

Colleagues,

Full transparency – I’m still trying to catch up on the past six weeks with knee surgery right before Christmas and a family crisis coming out of New Years. I’ve really lost a handle on the podcast, so I don’t know what today’s topic will be.

A podcast isn’t like that simple table I need to build. At least I don’t think...Maybe?

My first thought is that the pod can’t be a thrown together, minimally viable product. Because:

• There are sponsors who deserve to have a polished product they are endorsing
• If new people listen and it’s a mediocre episode, they may never come back
• You are investing your valuable time – every episode should be great

Or am I mistaken?

Would it be better to release something? Anything? I could do short shows on a multitude of topics. They wouldn’t be long, thorough, or polished. But they would offer something of value.

For example, I did a workshop teaching leaders how to facilitate development of core values in their organizations. I could share that. I don’t think it would be great, but I’m pretty sure it would be good.

I would LOVE feedback on this and to hear your thoughts.
