Given a do-over, I would come out and say, “my purpose is to help support you and your growth. I can best do that when I know who you are, what you want, and what you need. I’ll be reaching out a lot over the next few weeks.” Transparency makes it easier to build trust. We’ve now covered two of the Ten Ways.
