Colleagues,
This week I’m playing with the idea of writing a very short and practical guide to reflective coaching. At the end of the week, I will ask for feedback. MVP: Simple and consistent beats sporadic and nuanced. Introduction Barriers to coaching are time, technique, and preparation - all of which can be in short supply. By developing basic skills for reflective coaching, leaders can consistently help people grow without needing to prepare ahead of time. Coaching can just be part of what the leader does day-to-day, happening multiple times without premeditation. And reflective coaching over time will help create a culture where questions are routinely asked and valued, and where people expect to become better over time. How cool is that?" Cheers! Frederick
