Colleagues,
Last Friday I wrapped up a training at 4:30 and then drove to Panthertown Valley. I hiked three miles up to Tranquility Point and had an awesome, quiet time watching the sun set and, later, the nearly-full moon rise. Since there was nothing to do after dark, I went to sleep at 8:30 and didn’t crawl out of my tent until sevenish in the morning. Then I packed up, hiked three miles out, and was home by noon. The total trip time was about 20 hours and I arrived home with a lighter and brighter heart. I recognize how blessed I am to be able to do this - geographically, physically, emotionally, financially. Given your unique context, what is your version of this? Maybe:
