Do something nice today.

In our 2023, 275-mile Pennine Way Hike, Pam and I met a wonderful young woman named Natalia. We hiked together for about three days and became good friends. 

Natalia introduced us to chocolate covered macaroons. They are a perfect trail food as they pack (too) many calories into a small and lightweight cookie.

These macaroons have become a touchpoint. Every now and then one of us will send a picture. It is our way of saying “I’m thinking about you.”

Last week Natalia sent me a macaroon photo and it made a hard day a bit easier.

Today, I tagged her back. I hope it brightened her day.

We don’t need to make grand gestures to support others. The small things make a huge difference.

Do something small and nice for someone today.
