Cutting corners on a slide show may not be a bad idea

My friend Darrin Peppard and I co-facilitate a group of middle school leaders in North Carolina called the Leadership Excellence Network (LEN). [If you are a middle school leader in NC, you should check out the program – it is awesome and an incredible value]

In mid-March, Darrin and I led a 3-hour pre-conference training for our LEN participants.

I’m a big PowerPoint (or Keynote if you are on a Mac) person and I often obsess over the details of every slide.

But life had been chaotic for both Darrin and I, so we focused our time on planning the activities as opposed to creating the slide deck.

In fact, we threw the slide deck together in about 45 minutes.

And it was fine. It did the job.

It was minimally viable.
