Appeal, Ability, and Capacity determine motivation

Colleagues,

We are dropping the podcast this morning in hopes of giving people an additional morning commute to listen because we hope you are NOT listening to podcasts on Thanksgiving 😉.

Today’s episode is very low key, no music, no production, just me running through the theme of motivation.

In the first half, I’ll dive into three important factors of motivation:

1. Appeal (do I want to do it?)
2. Ability (do I have the knowledge, skills, and health to do it?)
3. Capacity (do I have enough time and attention to do it?)

If any of these factors are missing, motivation decreases.

In the second half… well, you’ll just need to listen or wait for tomorrow’s email 🤣
